When 95% of a companies' IT issues vanish, and the rest are minor things, the IT people tend to vanish, too. With the cloud, it's even better. We've been installing cloud networks for six years, have clients in four countries and unlimited storage six time zones and get tired of hearing IT people talk about the cloud's «shortcomings» and «bugs». What they're really saying is that the cloud means the end of their domain over their little hardware mess.

They also have a shared option so your friends or co-workers can access and work on files. Google documents is like having another hard drive on your computer. All you have to do to use it is open up the web page and unlimited storage drag and LayerOnline drop files right into the folders there that are already set up for you. It is free right now but they have plans to make it a paid service at some point. Maybe you are already familiar with Google documents.

So while the cloud can provide unique services that can be used on multiple computers from almost anywhere, I recommend just a bit of forethought and LayerOnline caution before using these services and for all users to check out the companies end user agreements so that they will know beforehand what risks they may be taking.

I'm not saying you need to backup every last shred of information, just the critical data that matters to your business survival.
